  We had a great time out with Captain TJ. Our trip was booked far in advance as this was a business trip to take customers out fishing. With everything going wrong that was out of Captain TJ's control (weather, engine problems, and getting bait) he had a plan and we as the customers would have never really known it if he had not told us. To explain on this day it was the first hard cold snap and 20+ mph winds out of the NW. The water was super rough out in the bay but TJ was up super early and braved the bay to get us a lot of great bait. He showed us pictures it was not fun for him. He had some awesome spots for us up in the river so the wind and rough waters did not give us any issues. We caught so many fish! Then towards the end he had engine troubles (his boat is brand new just bad luck), but Captain TJ had a plan and used his resources and we fished on and he got us back using a backup that his son brought to us. I can not say enough about how great a trip it was when everything was going against us. Book with confidence as this Captain has a plan even if things out of his control come knocking. • What does the trip price include when booking with Cast Away Charters?

  Everything you need for a successful fishing trip is provided, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, an ice box, and fishing licenses for all anglers.

• What do I need to bring on a fishing trip with Cast Away Charters?

  Although nothing in particular is required, we recommend that you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen to ensure your trip is even more enjoyable.

  • Sunglasses & sunscreen We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for the weather (your captain will advise you the day before). And, of course, don't forget your phone to capture memorable moments with photos :)
  • Snacks (if you want) The cooler has ample space for your favorite snacks, sodas, or alcoholic beverages should you choose to bring them. For trips of 6 hours or more, we recommend packing a lunch. A sandwich or any easy-to-eat option would be ideal for enjoying while fishing.

  The Cast Away Charters boat can accommodate up to 5 people, in addition to the captain.

  No, the Cast Away Charters boat does not have a toilet onboard.

• Do I need a license to go fishing with Cast Away Charters?

  No, you do not need a personal fishing license. A fishing license for all anglers is included in the price of each trip.

• Payment & Cancellation
• How to book and pay?

  • Choose the trip you like and request the captain's availability online. You will receive a confirmation within a couple of hours.

  • Secure your booking with a prepayment made directly to the captain. Typically, this is 10-30% of the total trip price. Captain accepts Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

  • The remaining balance is paid directly to the captain on or before the day of your trip.

• How to cancel and refund?

  Free cancellation available up to 14 days before the trip

  • You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 14 days before the trip date. Your prepayment will be fully refunded.
  • If you cancel or modify your booking after this period, or if you fail to show up, your prepayment will not be refunded.
  • If the captain decides it is not safe to proceed with the trip (for instance, due to weather conditions or because the boat needs maintenance), the captain can cancel the trip at any time before it starts. In such cases, your prepayment will be fully refunded.
  • You can request a trip cancellation by simply replying to your reservation confirmation email.
• Do I need to leave a tip?

  While tipping is not mandatory, it is greatly appreciated as a gesture of satisfaction with the service provided. We suggest a gratuity of 10-20% of the charter cost, reflective of your experience.
