What to Expect
Join Captain Dave for an exciting inshore / salt marsh, fishing adventure in the calm, protected saltwater creeks, river or maybe the inlet. With 28 years of experience, he runs trips full-time, year-round, ensuring you have the best chance of landing a great catch.
Your 6 hour trip begins at 7am-7:30am from the Mayport Boat Ramp in Jacksonville, (unless notified otherwise.) Capt. Dave’s brand-new 2025 custom 20’ custom Hanko boat, is designed for shallow waters, for two anglers and a guide. With plenty of room to cast.
Depending on the season, you’ll target Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and more. No experience? (but it helps) Fishing is like Golfing, the more experience you have in handling the clubs the better your game will be at the end of the day. It's the same with fishing. Capt. Dave helps with bettering your game and will teach you local techniques.
You must be mobile, and able to move and stand in the boat. Kids must be 10+ years old to do this 6 hr. charter.
Capt. Dave provides everything you need, including your fishing license, safety equipment, quality tackle, live & dead baits, coolers and ice. Leave all coolers, backpacks, and glass containers in your vehicle.
Fishing cleaning/ filleting /bagging after your charter is over and the boat is back on the trailer, is available on a Gratuity basis.
You will receive a Charter Confirmation email from Capt. Dave, stating the address of where you're going to meet, and the charter policies.
***Then, the day before between 4-6pm expect a telephone call from Capt. Dave confirming weather, the meeting location, and more details.
You'll pay your charter balance the night before, during our phone call. If you are using a credit card (plus 3.5% transaction fee for credit cards) Or can be paid in cash, at the end of the charter day.

Everything you need for a successful fishing trip is provided, including rods, reels, tackle, live bait, an ice box, and fishing licenses for all anglers.

Although nothing in particular is required, we recommend that you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen to ensure your trip is even more enjoyable.
- Sunglasses & sunscreen We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for the weather (your captain will advise you the day before). And, of course, don't forget your phone to capture memorable moments with photos :)
- Snacks (if you want) The cooler has ample space for your favorite snacks, sodas, or alcoholic beverages should you choose to bring them. For trips of 6 hours or more, we recommend packing a lunch. A sandwich or any easy-to-eat option would be ideal for enjoying while fishing.

After your trip, you can take your catch home or enjoy it at a nearby restaurant with waterfront dining. Please note that fish cleaning and filleting services are not included in the trip price.

Secure your booking online with a 10% prepayment to guarantee your reservation. We accept all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, ensuring a seamless and secure payment process:
The remaining balance is paid directly to the captain on or before the day of your trip. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard or Cash. Please note, a transaction fee of 4% applies to credit card payments. Cash transactions are not subject to this fee.

Free cancellation available up to 2 days before the trip
- You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 2 days before the trip date. Your prepayment will be fully refunded.
- If you cancel or modify your booking after this period, or if you fail to show up, your prepayment will not be refunded.
- If the captain decides it is not safe to proceed with the trip (for instance, due to weather conditions or because the boat needs maintenance), the captain can cancel the trip at any time before it starts. In such cases, your prepayment will be fully refunded.
- You can request a trip cancellation by simply replying to your reservation confirmation email.
